Ekalavya Bal Shikshan & Arogya Nyasa is a trust established in the year 2002, with the noble intention of serving the deprived and disadvantaged children of the society - irrespective of gender, religion, caste, community and tribe.
Ekalavya works for the children of: Alcoholics, Single parents, Child labors, Physically challenged parents
Ekalavya has constantly witnessed that the children carry a social stigma and do not know much about the world other than the one in which they grow. This is the Real Challenge for Ekalavya.
The Ekalavya Vision is to eradicate fear and instill in the children self – esteem and a feeling of security.
The Ekalavya Goals:
Behind every unfortunate child, there is an unfortunate woman. In the process of working with the children, Ekalavya discovered that the mothers of these children and other deprived women in the vicinity, needed support and a platform for self- expression. Hence, women also became a part of the Ekalavya Vision.
At the moment Ekalavya Nyasa takes care and looks after 100 children. There are two centres (Kudal - Sindhudurg and Shukrwar peth - Pune) where these projects are carried out.
