Ekalavya Nyasa's Activities for the children of CSWs

Here is how we address the essential needs of the children in our care:

  • Addressing Physical Needs
  • Provide a glass of milk, a complete brunch, and an evening snack consisting of an egg & a fruit.
  • Regular medical check up.
  • Addressing Psychological Needs
  • Provide a counseling center with expert assistance.
  • Conduct activities such as drawing, painting, sculpting, dance/drama, field trips/picnics, watching films of different kinds. These activities reduce stress and restlessness and help the children to discover their talents.

EN also works for the children of Alcoholics, Street children, Single parents, Physically challenged parents

Setu Shala

Setu Shala encompasses all the children who have been deprived of education to bring into their lives a dynamic learning environment. The objective is to ensure that the children reach their full potential – academically, socially and emotionally. Dropouts and children who have never been to school blossom in the Setu Shala.

Sampoorna Aahar Yojana

As observed many a times, the children who come to stay with Ekalavya Nyasa are malnutritioned. To cater to this need Ekalavya provides meals thrice a day. The well-planned meals are nutritious and wholesome to cater to the needs of the growing children.

Premashray

Due to lack of space in the city life the children especially the girls witness most unhealthy scenes in their homes. It is for such children (in distress) that Ekalavya has set up “Premashray” A shelter open at all times to provide warmth and comfort.

Paripoorna Abhivruddhi

Sensitive to the emotional needs of the children who come from heart rendering backgrounds, Ekalavya employs art, music and play therapy to reduce stress and restlessness and help the children to discover their talents.

Arogya Kendra

Ekalavya Provides medical check up and treatment for all the children coupled with counselling all through the year. Counselling addresses the inner fears of the children and instills a positive outlook in life. The children are taught Yoga and meditation to strengthen and enhance their lives.
